Easy to Follow Instructional Format Teaches 4 Empty Hand Forms (Including 2 Two-Person Sets), and 4 Weapons Forms - It would cost you thousands of dollars in tuition fees to learn these forms in a school, but now you can have them all on one disc!!
#1 - Chu Chi Chen
the "Primary Fist Form" of Tien Shan Pai Kung Fu. Coming from a background of Kenpo Karate (where my first form was "Short #1") I was blown away by the complexity and depth of this beginning form. Not only does it teach the foundational stances, punches, kicks and wristlocks of Tien Shan Pai, it's also a 2-Person Form that can be done with a partner. |
#2 - Pan Lung Bien Gan
"Coiling Dragon Whip." This excellent form teaches the use of the short staff. If you're at all interested in weapons training, the short staff should be part of your skill set. |
#3 - Tzong Chi Chen
"Secondary Fist." The intermediate empty hand form of Tien Shan Pai, this intriguing 2-Person form introduces the leaps, chasing movements, and subtle footwork of Northern Style Kung Fu, plus plenty of blocks, strikes and counters. |
#4 - Seven Star Golden Treasure Fan
A rare form, not often taught in martial arts schools or seen in competition. Shows you step-by-step how to use this deceptive weapon to slash, stab, and otherwise rip your opponent to ribbons. Also an excellent competition form as the explosive movements and dynamic noises of opening the weapon add drama. |
#5 - Mei Wah Chen
"Plum Flower Fist." Develops power strikes with a master level floor routine teaching moves as old as Kung Fu itself. This form includes the Wheel Hands drill. The version taught in the DVD also shows the spinning jump kicks of Tien Shan Pai. Another excellent choice for winning at tournaments. |
#6 - Mei Wah Darn Dao
"Plum Flower Broadsword." The complement to Plum Flower Fist, this form reveals the use of the deadly Willow Leaf Broadsword. Slash your way to 1st Place in the weapons division of your local Kung Fu Tournament, or just learn a hard hitting traditional kung fu weapons form! |
#7 - Pa Chi
"Eight Directional Boxing." This form is rare because of it's use of power breathing and dynamic tension. Builds rock solid legs, tones abs, and boosts overall stamina and upper body strength. You'll learn to hit hard from a solid base as you add explosiveness to every move. |
#8 - Spring and Autumn Big Knife
Spring and Autumn Big Knife - The Quan Dao. Teaches the Grand Daddy of the Chinese weapons. The Quan Dao was developed to help infantry soldiers battle cavalry troops. This form includes many moves that are unique to Chinese martial arts, such as neck, arm and leg spins, as well as mid-air turns and slashes. |
Like I said, you could pay thousands of dollars in tuition fees and devote years of attendance to learning these forms. But they're all here for you on 1 DVD as a permanent part of your martial arts library.
We used multiple angles and I was sure to perform the sets both slowly, and at regular speed so you can learn the moves, but also see how they should be performed once you've mastered them.
